Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Rollerball

Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Rollerball

If you guys saw my Birthday Haul video or blog post you will have seen that I purchased Juicy Couture - Viva La Juicy perfume. It smells absolutely delicious but tends to wear away rather quickly. At first I was going to buy an atomizer but then I saw this rollerball online. It was on sale for £9.99 (usual price around £16).

One end has Viva La Juicy EDP (5ml) and the other has Viva La Juicy La Fleur EDT (5ml). They smell relatively the same but I would say La Fleur is slightly more sweeter again.

I love the idea of rollerballs, easy application and easy to travel with. I definitely will purchase perfume in this form again.
I just wish the retail stores would catch on and start to stock them. :)

My new favourite shirt

For some reason I seem to look more like a boy here than a girl, eep! Oh well, :>, anyways, I was doing a tad of shopping at the weekend in TKMaxx. I told myself I wasn't going to buy anything. But what do I do? I pick up a load of clothes to go try on including this rather lovely shirt. In the end I was quite tame and only bought the one thing.

The shirt is actually from Crewe Clothing, and had cost a whopping £60! I managed to get it on clearance for only £18, not bad not bad. I love the lilac and white checks. And the fit is really good! I know it's not exactly A/W attire but I loved it so much, I will make it work ^_^.

Romwe Wishlist

(Images from romwe.com)

I've just been browsing on the ROMWE website and I came across a load of things that caught my eye. So I thought I'd whack them all in a wishlist (I like doing these types of posts ^_^).
The BAG caught my eye straight away, I love the colour, it feels very autumnal.
I'm still a huge fan of dip dye and this TOP is just perfect, plus it's blue which is my favourite colour, ever.
Next are a pair of SHOES which just look so bad ass and edgy.
I love these PANTS, I've been searching high and low for a lace pair for the longest time.
Finally, you can't beat a slubby JUMPER, perfect for layering!

It seems like ROMWE are having a Halloween sale too, so I'll definitely be purchasing some stuff!

hair/style/everything crush

Corr blimey how good does Miley Cyrus look these days? It's definitely a world away from Hannah Montana or whatever that show was called. I think she looks just out of this world with the new short blonde hair, awesome figure and fabulous dress sense. I'll admit I have one massive girl crush on her!

She's making me want to rock a short blonde pixie now. But I suppose I'll have to wait until after I have my graduation pictures taken. :D

I saved a ferret!

I saved a ferret!

If you don't already know, I am a huge animal lover and will always try to do my best by them. Well today I went downstairs and started to clean Ted and Basil out. In the corner of my eye I saw a white flash disappearing into Basil's hutch. I thought 'oh bloody hell, what on earth is that thing'. I stopped what I was doing and went out to investigate. A little furry face of a ferret appeared from inside the hutch. I acted quick and shut her in the run. I then went to phone my Dad and Mum to tell them about this little creature. But as I was doing that she managed to escape out of a small hole.
She then was loose again in the garden. We usually put bread out for the birds to eat but she was picking it up and running off with it. It was so funny. I knew I had to get hold of her again but I didn't want to pick her up since she could bite. I coaxed her back into the rabbit run and shut her in securely. I also put some more sawdust in the hutch. Eventually she curled up and went to sleep. Then my Mum came home and we decided to call the rescue shelter and they said to bring her in. We also contacted the police incase someone had reported her missing. Afterwards Mum and me put her in Ted's travel cage and put a blanket over it to keep her calm. And then we drove to the shelter and dropped her off there.

The shelter is called Capricorn Animal Rescue (site link here). They are based in North Wales and have so many animals. So if you on the hunt to welcome a new pet to your family you should definitely check the place out. :)
She was such a little cutie. I would definitely have kept her but we already have Ted and Basil. But for now she's going to be well looked after and have other ferrety friends to play with. :) Take a look at my video since I managed to get some footage of her.

My Luxury Winter Wishlist 2012

(pictures taken from Harrods.com)

My Luxury Winter Wishlist 2012

1. Guerlain Orchidée Impériale New Generation Serum (£305.00)
I've always had stupidly dry skin and because of that moisturiser is one of my biggest friends. However, since I've been blogging I've heard a lot about serums. And in all honesty I've never owned one, although that shall change at some point! I saw this Guerlain serum in it's fancy packaging and I would love to try it out especially since it's priced at over £300, it must work wonders!

2. Givenchy Kabuki Brush (£32.50)
My old Elf flat top kabuki brush is now slowly dying and I'm looking to replace it. This one from Givenchy looks so sophisticated and would work really well with my powder makeup products. I also like that its made by hand and not from a machine. Plus I don't think it's too badly priced at just over £32.

3. Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer Kit (£24.00)
This is one raved about product in the beauty community and one which I want to try desperately. I've owned the Mac Studio Finish concealer which I didn't like at all and I believe that this one would be a much better choice for me. Its nice and compact, has a good formula and comes with a setting powder.

4. MonicaVinader Fiji Gem Bracelet (£195.00)
I saw a blogger wearing one of these bracelets several months ago and I really liked the design. I'm a sucker for simple jewellery and this would go really well paired with my Michael Kors rose gold watch. This is definitely something I would ask for for my birthday or Christmas.

5. AlexanderMcQueen Silk Chiffon Skull Scarf (£165.00)
I think every loves the McQueen skull scarfs deep down. I personally think they are so classic and timeless and make a boring plain outfit into an edgy one. If it was up to me I would have a wardrobe full of them in all different materials and colours.

6. Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner-Cobalt Ink (£17.00)
Another beauty product which has a huge following. I've tried quite a few gel liners now, from Mac to Collection 2000, but I would love to have a play with the Bobbi Brown one. It always seems to be up there with the best and at £17 it's quite well priced.

7. Mulberry Daria Medium Hobo Bag (£595.00)
Oh Mulberry, what I would do to own anything from you. I think this has to be one of my most favourite designer brands. It's so hard to choose between bags but I think I would opt for this Daria bag. I like the boho slouchy feel it has to it. One day I will have you!

8. Mulberry Black Daria Continental Wallet (£250.00)
And to go with my bag I would of course have to have the matching wallet. I love the gold plaque with the Mulberry tree on. To me I think it's quite iconic. Also, the bag and wallet are versatile, they could be used for both day and night, which is something I'm after if I was going to spend lots of money on a piece.

9. AlexanderMcQueen Skull Pashmina (£245.00)
I had to have another McQueen scarf, but this time going that one step further, a pashmina version. What I love about statement scarves is that they can be worn or tied around a bag and still look awesome.

As you can see I don't want much, hehe, if only... now I need to go and win the lottery, no problemo.

a purple pixie?

A purple pixie?

Annnnd I was bored with my hair (again). It needed a top up and I had a look around Boot's to see what hair dye that had. Most brown dyes are boring and flat in colour. I wanted something more interesting. I found this BOTANICS DYE in Deepest Mulberry Dark Burgundy Brown, in other words purple brown to you and me. I decided to get a non-permanent in case I didn't like it.

It came out super dark to begin with and so I decided to hop back in the shower and wash it with clarifying shampoo (twice) to try and remove some of the darkness. This definitely helped! I then let it air dry naturally and applied lots of hair oils to keep in nice condition. The dye has left me with a nice shiny purple pixie which I absolutely love!

I thought it would be best to take a photo in direct sunlight, since you can see the purple much clearer.

Review: Sleek Blush by Three Palette - Lace

Sleek Blush by Three Palette - Lace

I am so unbelievably happy to have this little palette in my life. It's never been in stock in my local Superdrug whenever I have checked. So I pretty much gave up and just told myself I'd never get my mitts on it. Then last weekend I thought I'd check out the Sleek stand and walaa, there were lots of blush by three palettes just waiting there. I frantically looked for Lace and to my relief they had plenty! I grabbed one and headed to the till.
All three colours are beautiful and well pigmented. I know that Crochet will look really nice in the winter to give that flush of colour to the cheeks. Guipure is my favourite, its absolutely stunning, and very shimmery which I really like, especially when you have a tan. Chantilly is nice, I think I will layer this over my Mac Optimistic Orange. I have currently been using my Mac 188 to apply these blushes, since they are so pigmented you only need a little and this brush picks up and deposits just enough colour.

This palette retails for £9.99 which is such a bargainous price for three awesome blushes, so if you do happen to see this in the shops don't hesitate, because you will regret it later! I really want to try the other Blush by Three  palettes out now :).

Review: Sleek Brow Kit in Dark

Sleek Brow Kit in Dark (£8.50)

I'm always on the look out for new brow products, probably because they're my favourite things! If I can just stick my eyebrows on in the morning, I'll be happy. Anyways, since my brow pens were running out, I decided to do a bit of research and see what else was on the market. I had heard that the Sleek brow kit was rather good and so I popped into Superdrug at the weekend and picked up the colour in dark.

In my Superdrug there was only 2 options, Light and Dark, which won't suit everybody. But I had a look on their website and they do Extra Dark and Black too. I still think people with really light brows would be missing out though, since I did swatch the 'Light' colour on my hand and it wasn't particularly that light, more medium if anything!

Swatches

I am in love with the wax, it's such a good colour and applies like a dream. The colour is perfect for my brows too. I like to use the wax to fill in any gaps in my brows as well as the front part of my brow. I found that it worked really well for this since it adds a subtle shade which is not too in your face and fake. The wax itself doesn't keep my brows in place but that's because I have thick hairs which tend to do whatever they please. So I just use some clear mascara for that.

The powder is a lovely dark brown shade, not too warm or cool in colour. I tend to only use the wax on an everyday basis but will use the powder for a more defined look. I tried to get the Mac 263 brush at the weekend to use with the powder but they didn't have it in stock.

As for the little tools in the kit, I really like the flat brush, its good for using with the wax. The angled brush is a little too flimsy so that takes a back seat. And I have yet to use the tweezers as my Tweezerman ones are the best things ever created, but they would be handy to have just incase I forgot my HG ones.

All in all I'm really enjoying using this product, and I would definitely recommend it!

new shoes

new shoes

I was at Cheshire Oaks at the weekend and both my boyfriend and I love the Timberland store. So we went into have a nosey like you do. I had seen some boots that I liked previously but they were no where to be seen. But then I came across these little leather boat shoes.

I definitely wasn't on the look out for boat shoes in the slightest but these caught my eye. I haven't owned a pair in yonks but my Mum and Dad wear them all time. Also the two girls in the shop were wearing the same pair and they looked really nice. I decided I was going to have a think about it and walked around the other shops, including the CCO (hehe ;)).
But as per usual I just can't help myself, and I ended up buying them. What I love about Timberland is that they do half sizes, and I'm a 5.5. So these fit perfectly. They are black suede on the sides and black leather on the upper parts with a white sole. They're such a simple piece but will go with so many outfits. And they only cost £30 down from £50, so I was well chuffed.
I did wear them yesterday and they gave me blisters but I know as soon as I break them in they're be super comfy. Hopefully we won't have a horrendous A/W so I will be able to get some wear out of them!

Benefit Hoola

Benefit Hoola

This is my first high end bronzer/contour. I use to use my Rimmel one before this but now it has all changed. This is a highly pigmented matte brown bronzer, not too warm or cool in colour. It is silky to touch, thanks to the finely milled particles and because of these it makes it really easy to blend into the skin.

I like to use this as it really gives me some colour back to my face, in a subtle way. Which is great since my Mother has been calling me a corpse all week! The only downside to this product is that it is really expensive (at £23.50), but I only use a little amount so it will definitely last me a long time. I also want to try out its rival Nars Laguna at some point too, oh and Chanel Tan de Soleil. But for now I am happy with my little Hoola! :)

Steripod Review

Steripod Review *

Keeping my teeth and my toothbrush clean is an absolute must for me. Especially since I have Invisalign braces. Steripod is a toothbrush sanitizer which I hadn't heard about until a few weeks ago. I watched one of Gregory Gorgeous' videos and he showed one of these bad boys in it.
I never knew this but when someone has a poop and flushes the loo then all the poop particles fly up into the air and land on everything in the near vicinity including your toothbrush head, (vom!). So then in theory your brushing your teeth with poop particles, haha. On top of that, toothbrushes are ideal breeding grounds for bacteria anyway, because they're a little bit damp and provide the best conditions for bacterial growth.
This is where Steripod comes into action. It has a little compound which releases vapours to fight the germs, but is non toxic at the same time. Each pod lasts 3 months and then has to be changed. On top of this it can be used as a case for travelling. Which is really handy for me because I go to my boyfriends a lot at the weekends and now I know that my toothbrush is going to be nice and clean inside a pod rather than be chucked in my bag like it use to.
Also if you 'like' the Steripod's facebook page (here), you get 25% off your first Steripod purchase.

Invisalign - before and after pictures

Invisalign - before and after pictures

After 15 months and 33 trays I have finished the main part of my Invisalign treatment. *Lets out a huge YAY*. If you remember back to my old post (here), where I first spoke about my teeth and how much I wanted braces. And also to this post (here), where I talk about my first consultation and the price. It seems like such a long time ago.

So I'll go back to when I got my first tray. (Note I had 33 trays for the upper and 9 for the lower). The first was an absolute bitch. It hurt to put them in my mouth, my teeth were in agony and it was so uncomfortable. Thinking back I had to take painkillers. This was only the case for about 4ish days. The reason behind this is that my teeth back then were stubborn and had found a place that they wanted to reside in. So when I came along and applied lots of pressure they really didn't like it. But as the teeth got use to moving they become looser and therefore changing trays is not such a hassle.

The trays are very tight to begin with, obviously but will relax over the next couple of days. I found that early on in my treatment I use to get really bad ulcers on the inside of my cheeks and also the roof of my mouth from the plastic. But overtime my tissues became more resistant.

So you change your trays every 2 weeks (switch the trays at night so then in your sleep your teeth are moving and is left uncomfortable). In this time I use to give them a brush with toothpaste to keep them clean. I was also given this dissolvable tablet thing, which I would put into warm water that would clean the braces. But it didn't work that great. Also, like an idiot I put my braces into warm water to clean them with this tablet and then I cleaned them in cold water. And with this massive change in temperature it completely altered the shape of the brace so it became useless, so just watch out! I had to go up a brace asap!

After your first few trays you will have attachments put on your teeth. These are tooth coloured little globs of cement stuff. These fit into the bubbles in your braces which help to move those certain teeth. Getting the attachments on doesn't hurt at all and is not uncomfortable. I had two of mine break off out of 8 but you just go and get them put back on. The only thing I didn't like was when it came to taking them off. That can be annoying because you want all of this cement stuff off but you don't want to damage the enamel. Also with the attachments is that you can't clean those teeth that well so you will get a little discolouration. This goes as soon as they come off and you have a good toothbrush/toothpaste.

I had to have shavings between my teeth due to the overcrowding. Shavings are only about 1mm wide but the gap soon closes. This can hurt a little bit if the gums are caught.

Cleaning your teeth is a massive must when you have Invisalign. I cleaned mine religiously and flossed too. You don't want bits of food and plague in/on your teeth and then put your braces in. This will lead to tooth decay and it will ruin your life! You just have to be proactive and not lazy. This means after every time you eat too. So take a little toothbrush/toothpaste and floss out wherever you go. Sometimes I used to wait until I got home before I cleaned my teeth and put my braces back in. I had Invisalign whilst I was at uni, I went out drinking a lot so I didn't always use to wear them 22 hours a day, but they turned out good in the end!

I finished my bottoms really quickly, 18 weeks, since I only had 9 trays. So then I went down to only wearing the bottom tray at night. However because I wore it every night for 48 weeks the trays became far too loose and then my teeth started to slip a little. No to worry this will be fixed in the refinement stage. Now my top ones took 66 weeks to complete (33 trays). But my upper left two is a little out by a couple of degrees so this will be fixed in refinements too.

Here's my results to far:

BEFORE
AFTER

For refinements you get molds taken and sent to America for your braces to be created. I got a phone call today to say that they had arrived, but I would need to see my orthodontist before I could get them because I need more filling done. So this is where I am up to now.

I will update you guys in a couple of months hopefully with my fully completed Invisalign treatment.
