REN Omega 3 Optimum Skin Serum Oil Review

I'm a big fan of oils and serums alike so when I found out that REN offered a Serum Oil, I was most pleased. The REN Omega 3 Optimum Skin Serum Oil* is very light and liquidy in texture and smells great. This little product is packed with omega 3 (which promotes optimum moisture levels, cell renewal and restores elasticity), rosehip seed oil (which stimulates the metabolism of skin cells and is rich in vitamin A) and wheat germ oil (prevents and protects the skin from oxidative damage).
At night, I use a few drops and apply it all over my face. It is quickly absorbed into the skin, making it feel instantly hydrated. Afterwards my skin is radiant, soft to touch and is generally a lot more happier. I also found that my moisturiser goes on a lot smoother after using the Ren serum oil. I really do recommend the REN Skin Serium Oil if your skin is requiring a little boost and some TLC.

Lily Lolo Rose Glow Shimmer Strips Review

I think this has to be one of my favourite products of all time. I have various highlighting powders in my collection, ranging from opals tones, to gold, to violet, but I have yet to get my hands on a rose. Even though rose is one of my favourite colours, especially when it comes to makeup (note Sleek’s Rose Gold blush). So when I got the chance to try out Lily Lolo Rose Glow Shimmer Strips* I was rather jolly!

This product creates a perfect pink sheen across one’s skin, whether it is applied to the cheekbones, collarbones or décolletage. The rose glow strips could also be used as a wash of colour of the eyelid. The product itself is highly pigmented, easy to blend, and has good longevity.

I apply Rose Glow to my cheekbones to create an elegant evening look. I find this the best wear to wear it as they are quite shimmery so it is best suited for nights out. All in all it is a stunning product which I for one will use a lot of. I definitely recommend it if you have a busy winter calendar coming up, as this would be the perfect product for you if you like to add a little bit of glow to your complexion.

REN Rosa Centifolia No. 1 Purity Cleansing Balm Review

Over the past couple of months I have really been getting stuck into cleansing balms as they
work well with my parched skin. I have been recently loving the Balance Me Cleansing Balm, however REN have a new product on the market... No.1 Purity Cleansing Balm*.

The balm is infused with rose and is silky in texture. I take a small amount, melt it between my fingers, then apply it all of my face. During this time I wait a couple of minutes for it to work it's little magic. I splash my face with warm water which transforms the balm into a milky liquid. I then run the muslin cloth under warm water and begin to remove the balm in circular motions. My face is left soft and soothed, and more importantly clean.

The balm itself is rather thick, so one needs to squeeze the bottle pretty hard for the product to come out. The cleansing balm also comes in a jar, which makes life much more easier! The muslin cloth is slightly on the small side so I tend to use my larger/thicker ones which are more abrasive to buff my dry skin.

I really like the fact that the balm is full of natural ingredients and has a delicious scent. It leaves my skin calm and clear. Although I still have to use an intensive moisturiser, as I find that my skin is still prone to
drying out.

Introducing HealGel

I am a huge skincare junkie and try to look after my skin as best as possible, so when I stumbled across the brand 'HealGel' I was intrigued to say the least. I was pretty much sold by the name straight away, I love gel formulas and if it's going to do my skin a world of good, then I'm laughing. The quirky packaging immediately caught my eye. It reminded me of the forensic reports I had to write back in University (good memories). So straight away, I had high hopes for the brand.
HealGel Face: "Harnessing all the skin reparative and rejuvenating properties of Heal Gel Intensive, Heal Gel Face delivers additional, powerful anti-ageing properties to firm, replenish and smooth. Coupled with the nourishing, soothing, anti-redness, collagen-boosting benefits you’d expect from Heal Gel, this new addition has a triple-phase hyaluronic acid complex to instantly plump and tighten your complexion – retaining moisture and almost instantly minimising the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. A luxurious blend of Omega Oils then work to improve elasticity, so skin feels soft, supple and glows with health."

I apply HealGel Face* in the morning and at night, after I have cleansed. Only one small pump is needed to cover my whole face. The gel is of a lovely consistency, glides over the skin and absorbs almost instantly. Leaving it smooth, moisturised and soft to touch. I also found that I had fewer blemishes and my skin was left in a much better condition. This product has a spot firmly in my skincare routine and will do for a long time. It will take a lot to beat this!

HealGel Face 50ml £48

HealGel Eye: "With all the high performing active ingredients of the original, Heal Gel Eye also contains Haloxyl, to kick-start sluggish micro-circulation and minimise those tell-tale signs of fatigue. It also features a dual-action Hyaluronic Acid complex that attracts and retains moisture to plump up wrinkles and tighten the eye contour, while the inclusion of light diffusing particles helps reduce the appearance of shadows for a brighter, younger-looking orbital area. Feather light on the skin, it’s a perfect pick-me-up for the sleep deprived and makes a brilliant base for your make-up."

Because I wake up at a crazy hour to go to work, I'm always paranoid that my eyes look tired. So I was really happy to have the chance to have a go with the HealGel Eye*. I tend to use this in the morning, once again only a tiny amount is needed. The gel is like silk to touch and applies like a dream. My eye area feels instantly energised and I am ready to tackle the day ahead of me without any worries.

HealGel Eye 15ml £32

To sum it all up, I am so thankful for finding HealGel, it's a fantastic brand, with incredible and honest products.

Mac Lovelorn

Mac Lovelorn - my current lipstick obsession. I first saw this on Jennie from sailorjennie.com and I knew I wanted it. Believe it or not, I didn't own any pink lippies before this, shock horror! So I pootled down to Mac and had a good old swatch and it was perfect. It's a lustre, my favourite! It's a gorgeous pink, suitable for everyday wear and is so easy to apply.

More from Viridian...

A couple of weeks ago us Brits got some absolutely cracking weather and well I had to make the most of it. I got myself down the beach to lap up all the lovely rays. I did manage to burn myself, eep! Then I realised that I had the Viridian Skin Repair Oil* in my cupboard just waiting to be used. Fantastic. The oil itself is clear and runny, absorbing straight into the skin. It also smells delicious, very lavendery (definitely a word). After using this my skin felt smooth, hydrated and on its way to being healthy once more. This will definitely be coming with me when I hop across the pond to America in September.

Next up is the Viridian SPF Skin Pro-Factors*. These remind me of the Viridian Ultimate Beauty Complex. They don't taste so good, so it's best to get them down the hatch asap. These are to be taken ahead of and during the Summer months. They help to strengthen one's skin and therefore reducing sun damage. I took these supplements alongside using sunscreen, so it's hard to definitely say whether they work or not. Like I said previously, I still managed to burn myself slightly! I believe these would be more beneficial to the lucky people who actually have a Summer, unlike us over here in Britain. Plus, I'm really forgetful when it comes to taking supplements so I think I'll just stick to my sunblock!

L'Oreal Skin Perfection Micellar Water

I definitely jumped on the Micellar bandwagon last year. At the time, the only product available was Bioderma. It was expensive but I really enjoyed using it. I was pretty gutted that there were no other alternatives but that's all changed now. When I found out that L'oreal had released the Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution I was over the moon. I soon snapped it up at my local Boot's.

It's a fantastic product, a definite staple in my skincare routine. I use this as a pre-cleanse at night to remove makeup and again in the morning to freshen my skin up. My skin is left feeling super soft, hydrated and clean. It leaves no residue behind, dries quickly and allows your skin to drink up any moisturiser you put on afterwards. All in all it works really well with my dry, sensitive skin. I honestly couldn't recommend this enough!

Next on my "To Buy" list is the L'Oréal Skin Perfection 15 Second Miracle Cleansing Oil.

Mane N Tail V. FAST (Hair Growth Shampoo and Conditioner) Before and After Pictures!

Mane N Tail V. FAST (Shampoo and Conditioner)

I've been growing my hair out from a pixie cut for 9 months and to be honest I got fed up of waiting. So I did a bit of research and I came across Mane N Tail and FAST shampoos and conditioners. Both products are meant to keep one's hair healthy as well as achieving a longer/stronger 'do'.

To begin with I started using the Mane N Tail, I ordered this from Ebay and cost me around £8. Both bottles contain 355 ml and lasted me about 2 months. The products themselves were quite basic, they reminded me of Tesco's own brand hair care. They cleaned my hair well, but weren't anything special.

Then I moved onto FAST, I ordered this from Boot's online for £25. These bottles only contain 300 ml and lasted me about a month and a half. I really thought that the FAST would be luxurious due to the steep price tag. Oh how I was so wrong, the shampoo reminded me of washing up liquid and the conditioner wasn't any better. Also it says to use the FAST everyday, no chance, that would strip my hair of all it's natural oils, not good!

However, since using these products I've had so many compliments from my friends, family and work colleagues. They've all told me that my hair has grown really fast and is looking in good condition. So here's the before and after pictures...

Overall, I am really happy with my hair growth. It has definitely grown A LOT, yay! I'm back onto my nice smelling Aussie products at the moment but I will repurchase the Mane N Tail at some point.

Have you guys tried and of these products? What are your thoughts?

Mac Dollymix Blush

This Sheertone Blush from MAC is a doll like medium pink with subtle shimmer running through. I picked it up from my local Cosmetics Outlet on a whim, just to see what it was like. It swatches beautifully and is just as nice when applied to the cheeks. The formula is pigmented but blends seamlessly into the skin. This blush is best suited for tanned skin tones, which is perfect for me at the moment as I have some colour, thanks to the lovely sunshine we've been having :).
I like to wear this on a "no makeup" day, just foundation, mascara and this. It really brightens my face up, leaving me with a natural healthy glow on my cheeks. Dollymix can be purchased for £17.50 from MAC.

REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask

I'll admit, I've never really dabbled in face masks, usually I only bother with a quick cleanse. However, I was kindly sent the REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask* to try out. I was so excited when my little package arrived on my doorstep. Well, why wouldn't I be? After all the raving reviews surrounding this cult product...

The mask claims to renew complexion by removing dead skin cells, improve skin tone by combating blackheads and blemishes. And overall, just make one's skin much more healthier. The bottle contains 50ml and comes with a little muslin cloth.
The first thing you'll find is that the product smells absolutely delicious, quite fruity in fact. I apply a generous amount to cleansed dry skin and allow 10 minutes to pass by. The mask is of thick consistency but goes over the skin well. I found it to feel quite sticky and heavy on the skin but bearable. Once the mask has worked its wonders I remove it with a dampened muslin cloth.

This product leaves my skin feeling healthier and full of life. It is definitely a good pick me up product for tired and dull skin. It's not the cheapest at £30 but is nice to have for the occasional pampering session. The REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask can be purchased at £30 from RENSKINCARE.COM.

Amie Products

"Hi, my name's Harriet and I'm a skincare junkie in the making :)".

Over these past couple of months I've be dabbling in quite a lot of skincare products and to be honest I've really been enjoying it. I've always been quite lazy up until now, but because I can't wear makeup at work, my skin needs to be in tiptop condition.

I've been reaching for these two AMIE products recently. To start off, I'm in love with the design on the packaging, it's so simple and cute! Definitely something that attracted me to them at first. Next is that the products are full of natural ingredients which are designed to work in harmony with one's skin.

The Amie Gentle Facial Wipes* contain extracts of pomegranate, cranberry and green tea perfect for cleansing the skin and removing makeup. After using the wipes I move onto the Amie Skin Shield Daily Moisturiser*. The first thing that I noticed is that it smells bloody gorgeous. This kind of scent is something that I've never come across before. It smells delicious and doesn't seem to fade throughout the day. So you often get nice smelling wafts. The consistency is quick thick, almost like sun screen but it goes on well and sinks into the skin quickly.

I've really been enjoying using these together and I would really recommend them if your wanting to take care of your skin using affordable natural products.

MAC Lady Danger

I came across Mac's Lady Danger at my local Cosmetic Company Oulet and was so surprised! I never normally find anything worthwhile, but this trip was an exception. There was only one lippie left so I had to grab it.

Lady Danger is a vibrant orange red, perfect for the upcoming seasons. I can see it going hand in hand with a sun kissed tan. It is very pigmented and goes on smoothly and has pretty intensive staying power. The formula is matte, which I'm really starting to like. At first I thought it would be drying but Lady Danger is really creamy, perfect for me since I always seem to have dry lips.

I wore this is in my recent Pixie Cut video and lots of people were asking what was on my lips, which is usually a good sign! I can see this as becoming my new favourite lippie for Spring Summer, fosho.

Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Suede Lipstick Review

Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Suede Lipstick Review

I've been on the look out for the perfect pink/nude/sheer lipstick, so when I saw these new ColorStay Lippies from Revlon I thought I'd hit the jackpot. I started swatching them whilst in Boot's and they looked so pretty, lovely pigmentation, and had a nice sheen to them. I thought they would be perfect for me...

Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Suede Lipstick in 030 High Heels and 020 Front Row

I got to the car, delved into my Boot's bag and whipped out my new lipsticks. I applied it there and then as I couldn't wait to see what they looked like, and well! It just went downhill from there. I have dry lips so always put chap stick on beforehand. I applied the lipstick and it instantly wished I hadn't bought the damn things. My lips looked horrific, all patchy and dry. Definitely not what I was expecting. The finish on the lips is awful, a semi matte/metallic. Honestly, it's blimin' awful. I really wouldn't recommend these to anyone!

Eyebrow Dying.

I've been super obsessed with my eyebrows recently. So I was in Boot's one day and came across the 30 Day Mascara for Lashes and Brows in Dark Brown. My brows are naturally quite dark but I have some super light hairs above one of them, making it look really thin, argh! So I thought I'd test this dye out and see what results I achieved.
Ignore my trout pout, eep. The eyebrow on show is the thinner one out of the two. But after using this dye it not longer stands out like a sore thumb. The dye took to the light hairs really well, and now the brow looks a lot fuller, yay, happy days!
I thought I'd whack in a Before and After picture. As you can see my brows are quite a lot darker but I actually really really like them. I will continue to use the dye as I really like the results it gave. Next time I might try it out on my lashes too! Oh and I'm currently testing out RapidBrow, as I'm still on my thicker fuller brows mission. So I shall be doing a review on that bad boy soon, so stay tuned!

Anastasia Clear Brow Gel Review

I tend to brush my brows up and at an angle, making them appear thicker than they actually are. I then apply the brow gel and it sets them in place for the rest of the day. The product dries clear and is unnoticeable when applied correctly. My brows are fixed into place but not completely stiff. The only problem is that a lot of product can come out on the brush and if its applied too thickly, it can dry and become flaky. But as soon so you've used it a couple of times you get use to this and it doesn't become an issue!

I really would love to try the tinted brow gels, as I've heard many good things about them. I think they would work really well for me as I've got some really light hairs in my brows.

What brow products do you guys really recommend?

Long hair, Don't care!

Woohoo, I got me a weave, well, more like clip in extensions from Best Hair Buy. I'm fed up of my grown out pixie not growing, if you get me. So I thought it would be fun to test out some extensions on my fro. I decided to get the 22 inch, 160g and in the colour #4/27. But when they arrived they were far too blonde (see below picture!), so I nipped out and bought some hair dye and dyed them a dark blonde. My natural colour is like a mousey brown/blonde but my mid lengths and ends have a red tinge to them from an old hair dye, doh. So they kind of blend, (note: kind of). Once the red goes, they will match my natural colour a lot better!
Hair Extensions c/o www.besthairbuy.com

I decided to cut the extensions on top of dying them, just because I find them to look more realistic when they are thicker at the tips. I'd rather have shorter thicker extensions, than have long straggly/ratty extensions.  They did shed at the beginning but not too badly, I guess it's so be somewhat expected.

They arrived really quick too, only 3 days from HK.

All in all, I'm glad I got to try out Best Hair Buy extensions. If your looking for affordable extensions I'd recommend checking out Best Hair Buy.

Caseable Review and GIVEAWAY!

I love anything that is customisable and quirky. So when I was contacted by Caseable asking whether I wanted to test out one of their cases, I jumped at the chance. I chose the Circulation case for my Nexus 7. I really liked the design since it was colourful and quirky. I was quite surprised as it arrived on my doorstep relatively quickly, seeing as if was shipped from America.
Case c/o Caseable.com

The case itself is made from recycled materials, yay for saving the planet. The structure is strong and durable and of good quality. The print is bold in colour and very detailed. Inside it has elastic straps which hold my Nexus securely. And there is a pocket which could be used to stash documents etc etc.

The only thing that this case doesn't let you do is prop the Nexus up. I tend to watch quite a lot of films and TV programmes on my tablet and my old case allows me to prop the Nexus up horizontally. However, I still really do like the case and it's concept.

If your in to personalising your belongings, I would definitely recommend checking out Caseable.
Use the code "hattiecase" for $10 off your order, valid till the end of march.

ALSO! Caseable are allowing me to do a giveaway, yay!
All you guys need to do is comment on the post telling me your favourite Caseable design,
& follow/like their Twitter and Facebook pages.

This giveaway is open to US, Canada, and Europe, as Caseable only ships to these destinations.
Good Luck!

Balance Me Face Mist Review

Balance Me Skin Bright Hydrating Face Mist*

After trying out the Balance Me Face Oil, I couldn't wait to give another Balance Me product a test drive. I decided to try out the face mist, as I've always got on well with them in the past. The way I use this, is that I spray it over my face in the mornings after I've moisturised just to give me a boost. This way it wakes me up and my skin feels ultra hydrated. The spray mechanism squirts a light mist over ones face, rather than a water pistol like the Mac Fix+. The smell is very fresh, since it's full of natural ingredients. I have yet another staple product in my skincare routine.

I highly recommend the products (Face Oil and Face Mist) that I have tried out from Balance Me. The Balance Me Face Fist can be purchased from Balance Me for £20 (60ml).

Origins Super Spot Remover Review

I usually have somewhat clear skin, although my lower cheek/jaw always seem to have blemishes, no matter what I do, but that's a different story! I do get the odd occasional spot but until recently I didn't really do much with them. However, I can't wear any makeup at work, and that means if I get a spot, I can't cover the damn thing up, so it's on complete show. So I started doing some research and I saw that this was a much raved about product. At £13 it isn't the cheapest but then again you only use a teeny bit.

I always apply this at night before I go to bed as it does leave behind a clear sheen on the skin, which is quite obvious. In the morning I wash my face and the sheen goes away. I tend to pop the gel on my little finger first and then apply it to the spot. At which point it stings like a right bugger. Like some kind of wasp has gone crazy on yo ass. But don't worry! It is bearable. When I wake up my spots are less angry, and less noticeable, which is always good. I found that my skin started to flake the day after using this, so I just make sure I exfoliate well. I really do recommend the Origins Super Spot Remover, especially if you're like me and suffer from the odd breakout.

Do you guys recommend any spot treatments?
